摘 要
本研究採用水熱碳化法轉製廢輪胎為活性碳,用在汞蒸氣吸附去除。與傳統乾式裂解碳化製程不同的是,水熱碳化可以保留廢棄輪胎中的硫元素並且同時添加活化劑以減少製程時間與藥劑用量。前一年期,我們探討水熱碳化變因以及活化變因,確立與汞元素吸附量有強關連性的因子。本年度針對這些重要因子細究並且探討H2O2添加的影響,以期降低藥劑用量與增加產能。製得材料以場發射掃描式電子顯微鏡(FESEM)、熱重/熱流分析儀(TGA/DSC)、元素分析(EA)、X-射線光電子能譜儀(XPS)以及氮氣等溫吸脫附實驗分析其特性與成分;吸汞後的材料採用程溫脫附實驗以及X光吸收光譜分析汞的物種,以推估吸附位點。目前研究成果指出水熱罐裝滿度以2分至5分滿為最佳範圍,投料比維持在10/50以下為佳,添加ZnCl2的比例在0.5-0.7為最佳範圍,雙氧水添加量0.5%至4%為最佳範圍,水熱碳化溶劑使用到第三次還不影響製得材料的汞吸附能力。對於汞的吸附物種為HgCl(14%)、HgS(33%)、HgO(53%)。製得材料已可獲得對元素汞的吸附能力高於商業活性碳BPL且價格僅為其1/4。本研究可將廢輪胎轉製成含硫活性碳,具有高的汞吸附能力和有競爭力的成本,提供廢棄輪胎有效的去化途徑。
This project joint to prepare and to characterize activated carbon hydrothermally converted from scrap tire as well as to apply to Hg(0) adsorption. We will introduce the production of activated carbon starting from scrap tire using a facile, scalable hydrothermal carbonization process. In the previous study, we studied different aspects: the synthesis of the material, its characterization, and also the design of the process (reactor, operating conditions, etc.). In order to rationally design a process, we investigated the main factors on the hydrothermal carbonization process in which the fill percentage, solid/water ratio, ZnCl2 usage, and solution reuse are involved. The characterization such as XANES, FTIR, TGA and XPS will be carried out. With Hg adsorption, the used activated carbon was investigated using TPR and XAS. So far, the fabricated sulfur-containing activated carbon with reasonable cost has a higher Hg(0) adsorption capacity than that of commercial BPL activated carbon. This study provides a promising method to recovery useful materials from scrap tire to remedy air pollution.
